Young Person's Counselling (14+)

Specialist Support for Young People

Giving Young Adults the Tools to Thrive

At You Me Us Counselling and Psychotherapy, we provide targeted support for young adults. We know that therapy for this age group (14+) needs to be different. It’s not simply adult counselling, it demands a specialist approach and the right skills to engage with their specific world from school to family dynamics.

Tailored Therapy for Young Adults

We know that counselling for young people is very different from support for adults. It takes a specific set of skills to truly connect with their world, from the pressures of school and friends to life at home with the family. We make sure our sessions are suited to their age, making them feel relaxed and comfortable rather than overwhelmed.

Our goal is to give young people the practical tools they need to feel heard and to really thrive in their daily lives.

Benefits of Therapy

How to develop various tools and strategies to help cope with life’s everyday stresses.

Knowing You

Therapy tailored specifically to your needs, circumstances, personality and preferences as no single approach is assumed to work for everyone.

We Focus On You

We address you as a “whole person” taking into account the interaction of your mind, body, emotions, behaviour and social/spiritual aspects.

Adaptability

Your therapist can adjust techniques and strategies throughout the treatment as your  needs evolve or if an initial approach proves ineffective.

Sustainable Change

Addressing complex and long-standing issues from various angles, potentially leading to deeper, more lasting transformation.

Stronger Alliances

You are actively involved in determining the process, often strengthening the relationship and trust between yourself and therapist, which is a key predictor of success.

Solving Issues

Its versatility makes it effective for various conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship problems, and chronic health issues.

Increased Self-Awareness

It encourages you to understand different aspects of yourself —leading to greater self-acceptance and self-awareness.

Encouraging Practical Tools for Life

This therapy often includes various practical tools and strategies that you can use in your everyday life for stress management and coping.
